Introducing Edmonton’s first residential community hospice, the Roozen Family Hospice Centre

A welcoming hub of support, the Roozen Family Hospice Centre provides a place of comfort and compassion, combining the best end-of-life care models from across the country. The Centre offers specialized person- and family-centred care from a homelike, community setting.

At the heart of the new Hospice Centre is a warm and family-friendly end-of-life residence with 12 suites for individuals in the final stages of life who do not require acute medical care. Open kitchen and dining, child play spaces, quiet rooms and dedicated living spaces allow residents to live fully, in their own unique way and on their own schedule, surrounded by loved ones and cared for by specialized professional staff and trained, supportive volunteers.

Integrated programs and services offer support to individuals, children, teens, families and community, including respite for caregivers, counselling for those experiencing loss and grief, and knowledgeable staff that can help answer any questions or concerns around end-of-life.

  • Integrated services through programming that attends to both the ill person and their loved ones.
  • Care for the whole person, addressing physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs through a multidisciplinary specialized team approach.
