Adult Bereavement Support

“In the difficult are the friendly forces, the hands that work on us.” – Rainer Maria Rilke

Bereavement Counselling

We each experience loss and grief in a unique way, and likewise, our responses to the process of healing are as individual as we are.  As we grieve, it is helpful to connect with others for support, to process the feelings of grief and loss, and explore the tools available to us as we cope, reconcile and begin to heal.

Counselling is focussed on companioning with you on your grief journey.  In addition to verbal counselling, the use of creative arts, music therapy, and relaxation techniques may be integrated as you desire.  These methods can offer you self-care techniques and help you to process your grief in creative ways.

Bereavement support is available to the general public, and we serve individuals in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Guided Imagery and Music is a technique where the client listens to classical music in a deeply relaxed state, and reports visual imagery and their responses to the music, while supported by the therapist.  It can be useful for relaxation, processing emotions, spiritual support, and healing.

Individual counselling is available for those who desire personally tailored sessions and one-on-one support.

Bereavement groups are available for those who wish to journey with others who have experienced a loss and process their grief in a group setting.
